“Sustainability Summit” introduces global distributor network to newest revolution in eco-friendly mold release products – ZYVAX

Recent breakthroughs with nano-technology development at Zyvax have industry-changing implications, and the company is now introducing new products that promise to revolutionize molding procedures in the process. The new Nano-line will expand support of environmental requirements for all types of advance composites molding, The company will bring distributors together in an invitation-only training and orientation “summit” to orient them to the latest cost-effective solutions focusing on environmentally friendly products, applications and market requirements.

Technical service managers of stocking distributors will attend the event. Some 30 technicians representing 19 countries will receive the training, which will be conducted at fully equipped facility in Lyon, France. Attendees will receive hands-on experience in application procedures and will produce molded parts using RTM, infusion and adhesive bonding, hand lay-up, with additional instruction in rotational molding, during the 3-day Summit.  . Zyvax R&D team members and staff instructors from Australia, Europe and the US will provide the training.  Nancy Layman, CEO, believes the program is just the beginning of a new way of looking at the molding process. “We’re at the front end of a change that is sweeping the planet—the requirements for pollution control and emission-free manufacturing today pale in comparison to what’s coming in the future.”

For years, the ability to achieve production performance across the molding cycle depended on products that often produced VOCs and other pollutants. In the past, Zyvax line of water-based, solvent free molding products was one option.  With the new nano-technology products, molders can exceed current generation mold sealer and release results without sacrificing quality or workplace safety.

“Every molding operation—indeed every manufacturing operation—is at the same crossroads. Minimizing pollution and saving resources are no longer options, and companies that recognize the sea change that is occurring right now are ahead of the curve,” said Nancy Layman, Zyvax CEO.

The new chemistry represents a breakthrough that parallels new global regulatory and political mandates relating to climate change, pollution and hazard reduction in the manufacturing arena.  “Everyone wins—our customers, the industry, the planet—we intend to incorporate this objective into our operation from the R&D lab right out to the production floor, and this training program is just the first step.”
