Styrene Build Up.

I have a problem with styrene build up on my mold/tool, they are getting pitted and have a white deposit building up.  What can I do to repair the surface of the mold and prevent the situation from reoccuring?  Basically treat the mold as I described in the previous answer, clean, apply additional sealer and then release. In order to prevent styrene damage, apply more coats of sealer to the new mold, and make sure that you apply the release agent more often than normal. An inch of prevention is worth a mile of cure! ! The release agent may be working fine as a release and provide you with multiple pulls, but unless it is applied more regularly than normal, the styrene will penetrate the release film and damage the mold surface below. Zyvax suggest applying a thin coat of mold release every few pulls whether you actually need to or not for release purpose, just to act as an additional barrier against the styrene, and minimize mold damage.
